Villa Atas Awan is a magnificent 7 bedroom residence located 20 minutes drive from Ubud, Bali’s cultural capital. This is one of the most visited area of the island, renowned for its spiritual atmosphere, yoga and meditation activities, art galleries, stunning rice fields and lush jungle, the monkey forest, its amazing food and much more! The signature rice paddies of Tegalalang and Pura Tirta Empul, one of the most famous Balinese temple, are also within easy reach. Villa Atas Awan is surrounded by stunning rice paddies and will offer you the most authentic Balinese experience. Lovers of traditional Indonesian design and travellers looking for a serene retreat surrounded by untouched nature (perhaps for yoga and meditation retreat?), will instantly fall in love with this gorgeous villa.
The villa
The villa’s amazing design comprises two gorgeous houses, century old Joglo structures transported to Bali from Java, renovated and updated with modern comfort. This two self contained villas are separated by a stunning infinity swimming pool and are surrounded by a lush tropical garden, both enjoying the most beautiful view over the rice fields and the distant volcanoes.
Villa Atas boasts three bedrooms with queen size beds and sleeps comfortably six guests. All bedrooms enjoy a magnificent view and feature en-suite bathrooms with large tubs and showers. On the back of this villa you will also find a gorgeous infinity bathtub with breathtaking view over the river gorge and the lush rainforest.
Villa Awan has instead four beautiful bedrooms: two twin bedded rooms, one bedroom with king sized bed and one master bedroom furnished with a gorgeous handcrafted Balinese bed.
Both of the houses feature large and airy living areas on the ground floors, open to the wonderful outdoor area and decorated with gorgeous antiques and traditional art works. These spaces are separated by the swimming pool but connected through a wooden bridge. There are plenty of seating options and beautiful dining tables carved out of local wood, for the most amazing dinners. Both houses feature also open kitchen equipped with modern appliances.
The staff
Villa Atas Awan is serviced by a professional staff of 4 friendly people. They will take good care of you during your stay and will offer personal assistance, daily housekeeping and 24/7 security. Breakfast is included and served daily and a shuttle bus will take you twice a day to the center of Ubud.

Séjour plus que parfait. La villa est magnifique, complètement conforme aux photos. La piscine est incroyable, les chambres et parties communes sont spacieuses, nous étions une famille de 13 et n’avons absolument pas manqué de place. Le personnel est incroyable, toujours souriant, attentionné et à l’écoute. La cuisine est formidable, nous nous sommes régalés du petit déjeuner jusqu’au repas. Nous ne pouvons que recommander ce logement.

5/5My family spent a week here, the property looked exactly like the photos. The villa staff really made the experience, cleaning our rooms daily and being on hand to prepare daily breakfasts (loved the fresh fruit and juices!) and being available to arrange in villa massages and experiences. We also had the staff prepare a few dinners, these were OK in taste/quality and convenient. (Due to the distance you can't entirely rely on Gojek/Grab for food delivery.) Location wise it's idyllic, very peaceful and you are far from crowds. It took us about an hour to get to Ubud centre. If you plan on occasional trips there during your trip then I'd recommend it. On the other hand, if you plan to spend everyday in Ubud then the travel time could be annoying. Overall loved our stay and would do so again if we were in the area!!
