Description

Villa Belong Dua is an enchanting 2 bedroom villa located in the traditional fishing village of Seseh, right next door to the trendy Canggu area, a place where life has remained largely untouched by the progress of modern world.

This unspoilt spot is the perfect location for those seeking to experience the authentic Balinese lifestyle surrounded by an amazing setting, while being only few minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of Canggu and Seminyak, the gorgeous Nirwana Golf Club (designed by the golfing legend Greg Norman) and the signature temple of Tanah Lot.

The black sanded beach of Seseh, with its important temple, is only a few minutes stroll away from the villa, while other famous surfing beaches, such as Echo Beach and Batu Bolong are also within easy driving distance.

Outdoor living areas

Villa Belong Dua rests on a large estate and boasts a gorgeous lush tropical garden, a truly walled gem. The property is made of five pavilions and it is clearly inspired by the most traditional Balinese architecture, with large and open-sided structures offering guests the luxury of space, comfort and privacy.

In the middle of the beautiful garden, overlooked by all the pavilions, we have a gorgeous swimming pool with shallow end for kids. A comfortable stone deck with sun loungers and an antique balé (Balinese tradition gazebo) furnished with two daybeds, are conveniently located next to the refreshing pool.

Indoor living areas

The indoor living spaces blends harmoniously with the natural surroundings and offer an extremely peaceful atmosphere. The main living pavilion is located in a beautiful open-sided space with high-vaulted ceiling, which overlooks the garden and features comfortable sofas, daybeds and a number of floor cushions surrounding a low dining table. This is the perfect area to relax, meditate or to enjoy mid afternoon snacks. An air-conditioned media room (or study) equipped with satellite TV, DVD player and iPod dock, is found on the rear of this space. The semi-open dining room with antique table for six and the adjoining kitchen, equipped with modern amenities and a service bar, are located in the pavilion next to the living area.

Bedrooms

The two king sized bedrooms are housed in separate stand-alone pavilions, named respectively Menaga and Bangkat, and offer complete privacy. Both rooms features gorgeous Balinese interiors, four poster beds, private terraces with antique daybeds, spacious dressing rooms, wall-mounted LCD TV with DVD player, iPod docks and gorgeous air-conditioned ensuite bathroom with sculptured terrazzo bathtub, double washbasins and outdoor rain showers set in private walled courtyards.

Staff

Guests at Villa Belong Dua are treated to five-star service by a professional and friendly staff. The team is lead by a villa manager and includes a talented chef, butlers and security guards.

Reviews

Like many other Australians we stepped foot in Bali again for that cheap sun filled holiday. What we got at Belong Dua was so much more. Seseh is a small village with few cars and amazing culture. We were privileged to be here for Nyepi day, Bali’s day of silence and participated in the celebrations that led to the day. We travelled as a couple plus my mum. Firstly the staff are spectacular with varying degrees of English and our little Balinese everything we wanted and asked for was provided quickly and without fuss. Puts the chef catered for all types of food and was happy to share all of his secrets with us after each meal. The housekeeping staff were efficient and non intrusive. The grounds are stunning and we were all able to find our favourite books without getting in anyone’s way. The pool was spectacular morning, noon and night. We had spa treatments at the villa almost everyday for a very reasonable price and I suggest ensuing about these the minute you arrive so you can get as many in as possible. Each night a two minute walk to watch the sunset over an almost empty beach was the best way to finish the day. We used the villa bikes and went for aimless walks through the very quiet village but we were all happy just being in the villa. A highlight of our trip was being invited to Nyorman (housekeeper) house for lunch, where we ate traditional foods and explored an area of Bali that tourists and travellers do not see. We also were welcomed to the owners villa (not far away) to explore their gardens and rice fields and enjoy afternoon tea. I can’t fault our experience at all, however if like me you are prone to mozzie bites. Between 5:30 and 7 make sure you have some insect repellent on. ( the staff light mozzie coils and fog as well, my mum and husband did not suffer like I did at all and received maybe two bites between them) Questions that I like answered in a review Is it safe? Absolutely, security at night and staff on all day Is it clean? Immaculately Is it easy to communicate? Yes absolutely Just book it.

1. The soul....a feeling to be in the real bali, where the "over"life is behind you 2. Superb villa in a large garden. 2 units for bedrooms, 1 unit for the kitchen and dining room and 1 for the bale. Never lost: you feel to be directly at the right place: large enough to breath and intimist enough. The design is strictly traditionnal balinese 3. Extremely perfect service 4. Location...it depends what you are looking for. You are in a small village in the middle of the rice fields. Biking is exceptionnal. Far away from the vibrant semyniak. Quiet, nice, in the middle of local life a dream for me AND FOR YOU? . . ...with the traffic jam 1 hour by car to go in semyniak. Eccho beach is not too far by walk. To leave the villa you need organize your transport ... 5. The beach 5 min walk and exceptionnal sunsets But for me all was idyllic

What a place!!. In short - amazing! Ayra and his team will bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. The Villa is amazing, the outdoor shower is brilliant and the swimming pool is lovely. The villa is in a very quiet area and is in a brilliant position to either just relax or to use as a base and to go off exploring. You will not be disappointed.
